Dr. Michelle Hart

Dr. Michelle Hart was born in South Africa and graduated in medicine and surgery in 2001 from the University of Pretoria. After completing her internship and community service, she immigrated to Canada and joined the health care team in Daysland, Alberta. There, Michelle engaged in a full spectrum of general practise and delivered many beautiful babies.

In 2010, she moved with her family to Calgary to continue to practice family medicine with a special interest in female health and our fertility options. Her husband Gary and her 3 amazing kids bring her great joy! She loves to spend time with her family, gardening and enjoys arts and crafts.

Dr. Hoorsheed Heydari

Dr. Hoorsheed Heydari was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to Canada with her family at a young age. She grew up in Calgary and completed her undergraduate training at the University of Calgary, graduating with a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Biological Sciences. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alberta and returned to Calgary to complete her residency training in Family Medicine. 

Dr. Heydari enjoys providing comprehensive patient care, with a focus on preventative health. Her special interests include: 

  • Women’s health:  contraceptive counselling, IUD consultation, sexual health, pre-conception counselling, prenatal care, menopause management 
  • In-office procedures: skin biopsies, IUD insertion, endometrial biopsies, injections 
  • Preventative health: Screening for chronic diseases, cardiovascular risk reduction, cancer screening, pediatric health assessment
  • Mental health: management of anxiety, depression and related conditions 

In her spare time, she enjoys walks along the Bow river and spending time with family and friends. Languages: English, Farsi 

Dr. Griselle Leon

Dr. Griselle Leon grew up in Venezuela and moved to Canada at a young age. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology and Nutrition at University of British Columbia and her Medical Degree and Family Medicine training at the University of Calgary. She enjoys the entire spectrum of Family Medicine Practice and has special interests in:

  • Women’s Health: contraception management, IUD insertions, sexual health, menopause
  • Weight Management: nutrition, exercise prescriptions, goal-setting and addressing barriers
  • Sports Medicine: diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injuries
  • Mental Health: stress, anxiety, depression
  • Dermatology: acne, mole and lump removals, skin biopsies

Outside of medicine, Dr. Leon enjoys yoga, hiking, painting, exploring the foodie scene, traveling and, of course, spending time with family and friends!
